Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

Background
The Sony Xperia Play was designed and created by the Sony Ericsson company. The phone/console made its appearance on a Super Bowl commercial on February 6, 2011, but it made its initial debut on February 13, 2011. Basically its just your unique Android Smartphone and as an extra feature it has a flip side that contains the controls that resemble the ones from previous Play Station consoles. This phone just allows the user to operate it in two different ways. Since the Sony Xperia Play also acts as a android smartphone it also contains the features of one and is compatible with android software which could be downloaded. This gadget was said to be shipped globally in March. In the U.S. the network company that releases the Xperia Play is Verizon, but very soon AT&T is said to be releasing it as well. In Mexico it is available with Tecel, in the UK the carriers are Vadafone, Orange, T-Moble, and Three. Exclusively in Canada the network that provides it is Rogers Wireless. The Sony Xperia Play is know to resemble or have similar features to the Sony PSP Go.

Why a gaming phone?
I thought that the Sony Ericsson company wanted to appeal to the gaming generation of today. Why else would they want to build a gadget that entertains many with unlimited fun that could keep anyone busy?
